The Best Day Of My Life
After my pro baseball career was over, I thought back on what was the best day of my life. Was it my first home run in my first game in the bigs? Or when I smothered that hot ground ball off the bat of Lloyd Moseby to help preserve Randy Johnson's historic no-hitter? Maybe it was the grand slam I hit with both Ken Griffey Sr. and Ken Griffey Jr. on base? No, it wasn't any of these. The biggest day of my life was when I was a kid, and through the ministry of my church, I began to realize I needed God the Creator. So at the age of 12, I gave my life to Jesus Christ, His Son. Now, I don't worry about the future. I know everything is going to turn out alright because God has a great track record. Throughout my life, He's proven himself to me.

How To Find The True Hope
Would you like to know where you're going in this life, and where you'll be after you die? Well here's some good news, my friend. God created you and knows everything about you. He knows the only thing that can truly make you happy is a personal relationship with Him. His Word (the Bible) says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

He Took The First Step
God has done everything necessary to bridge the gap between you and Him. He sent His only Son to die on the cross in your place. And by Jesus' sacrifice, you can approach God perfectly forgiven! “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

The Next Step Is Yours
You can make the best decision of your life. Simply repent of your sins, and accept God's free gift of forgiveness by receiving His Son. “Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:12) Will you receive Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord now? All you have to do is “talk” to God from your heart, which is what it means to “pray.”

1. Admit you are lost without Christ.
2. Acknowledge your sin and turn from it.
3. Trust in Jesus' death on the cross as the full and only payment for your sin.
4. Ask Jesus into your life to give you complete forgiveness and to guide you.

I hope you make the decision that will bring you the new life God has prepared for you. Believe me, it will be the best day of your life.
