Being a major league baseball player has always been one of my dreams since I was a child. I always looked up to professional athletes, and now that I am a professional baseball player I am very conscious of the impact I can have on young people.
There are times I get frustrated and angry like everyone else and sometimes feel like cursing or arguing about a call that I dont like. When that happens, though, I remember that there are a lot of kids watching me and because I want to be a good example, I control myself and dont say anything. Jesus commanded us to let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:16)
Baseball is important to me, but my relationship with God is the most important thing in my life because its eternal. If you want to know God personally the way I do, follow these ABCs:
Admit youre a sinner (Romans 3:23).
Believe that Jesus is Gods Son and that He died to pay for
your sins. (Romans 5:8; 10:9-10).
Call on the Lord and ask Him to save you. (Romans 10:13)
