With Steve I felt passion and love I never dreamed possible.

With his death, I feel pain that seems impossible to bear.

With Jesus Christ I know all things are possible and work together for good.

And now that God and Steve are a team, I know they will coach me through this final game of life!

Steve was a great visionary – he had huge dreams and big plans. He was great at inspiring vision and bringing together a team of leaders to make things happen.

We were a team. It was my role to figure out carry out the day to day details. He was our Coach and I was proud to be his assistant! I feel as though Steve has been escorted off the court and I am left to carry on…he has handed me his clip board. And though I tremble as I begin to make the calls, I, too, know that I wil see, feel and enjoy the incredible victory of eternal life. But, until my game is over, I will spend my days recruiting for God’s team and practicing the fundamentals of love, grace and forgiveness.

I challenge you to think about your life…

If death came as a thief in the night and robbed you of this life…

Would you be satisfied with how you have spent your time and gifts granted to you by God?

More importantly, would God be satisfied with what you have done?

Honor each day for the true gift that it is…

Be there for your family – make sure they know your heart.

As for your work, make it your life legacy.

As with the cross, our darkest hour may be God’s finest moment. It is there He does His greatest work, unseen by us.

Instead of letting circumstances consume us, I challenge you to BE CONSUMED WITH GOD!
