In my family and neighborhood there was a lot of gang and drug activity. My dad sold drugs and committed suicide when I was only 4. As a teenager in the rough inner city of Los Angeles, I found out that if I would draw close to God, God would draw close to me. I made a decision and opened my heart to Jesus. I decided to belong 100% and not just believe. God became my "heavenly dad." To me it became more important to please Him than to please my friends. My relationship with Christ is what changed me. It is awesome!
