I invited Jesus Christ into my life when I was about 13 years old. There were no big fireworks or voices from above, but there was a great feeling knowing that through the good times and bad I would never be alone. The Lord has blessed me in so many ways--from providing me with wonderful parents and grandparents who taught me what a relationship with Jesus was all about to bringing into my life an incredible, loving wife. He has also given me the opportunity to fulfill a lifelong desire to be a professional football player. Every good and perfect gift comes from above. Not a day goes by in which I don't think of the Bible verse found in Philippians 4:13: "I can do everything through Him who gives me strength." This gives me the confidence to know that I can accomplish all things--things on and off the field--with the Lord by my side.
