The most important gift my mother ever gave me when I was growing up was to send me to church and Sunday school and to introduce me to the Lord.

If you put the Lord first in your life, then you can accomplish anything. I love Colossians 3:17, which says, "And whatever you do, whether in word or in deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him." Another verse I really like is Philippians 4:13 which says, "I can do everything through Him who strengthens me."

Everything I do, I do for the Lord--whether it's on the field with the Patriots or off of the football field. Never be afraid to join God's team. Remember the words of Joshua 1:9, "Be strong and courageous...do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
