Goran Hunjak

I was born and raised in the communist country of Croatia where, at the time, it was not common to talk about the Bible and God. In our home, my mom sometimes practiced religion and prayed, but no one in our family knew much about God. I enjoyed sports and worked hard, knowing it would take a lot of dedication to one day play professional soccer.

After I came to the U.S. to play pro soccer, I was introduced to the Bible by my wife who had been going to Bible studies for years. As I listened and learned, I came to accept the Bible and the uncompromised truth it teaches—that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. I asked Christ into my life by prayer and began a personal relationship with Him.

I no longer live just for myself or to follow the world's way, but now I live to please Jesus.
